Ground Rules

1. Use your real name.

The anonymity of the web sometimes leads people to be jerks in how they speak and debate with others when they otherwise wouldn’t be.  Since this blog is primarily for our church community please comment under your real name, not a pseudonym.

2. No Trolling or Flaming

Trolling and flaming is internet speak for posting inflammatory off topic comments that provoke emotional responses from other commenters.  For an example visit any youtube video at all and read the comments.  Don’t do that here plesase.

3. Distinguish Between Disagreeing and Being Angry

One of the downsides of how postmodernism has effected discourse is that there’s a lot of confusion between people disagreeing with each other and people being angry and not liking each other.  Mature Christians should be vigorous in debate but generous and kind with those who disagree.  We’ll try to foster that here and apologize when we fail.

Al- thanks for your positive feedback on small groups. I know that Fellowship and Accountability are something that Meade will be writing about later on, but hearing how people have enjoyed the community their small groups bring, is great. In my own life, small group has always given me that smaller community of people who can get to know you on a deeper and different level than other “corporate” activities. In many ways… I think our groups are the secret weapon of our church, and one of our biggest strengths!
