That was a good clip! Two things stuck out to me: I liked that he said that being missional didn’t mean that we can exercise an “abuse of liberty”, such as “cussing like the neighbor at the football game”, etc… This is so true- we can be relatable and comfortable with others without sinning and calling it “evangelizing”. This often just confuses others to not really understand who Christ is and what we should be standing for. I also liked when he said that, “preaching against engaging in culture is like preaching against someone’s house- that’s where they live! There’s good, bad, ….challenges….the gospel is relevant, but churches, often, are not.” There is so much good in culture that can not only be coupled with ministry opportunity, but also to enrich both believer and non, alike- that we can learn and grow in knowledge of each other and celebrate the differences that are God-given to all.
